DAY 1: INTO THE FOREST

4 KM | 200m Elevation

Difficulty Rating 1 (Out of 5)

Our adventure kicks-off with a scenic drive from Delhi to the serene Camp at Rishikesh.

After settling in, our expert coaches will delve into trail running concepts and share essential techniques in a brief training session. We then hit the trails for a refreshing 4km run through the forests, the perfect way to shake off the journey's fatigue and breathe in the revitalizing mountain air.

A rugged single track, weaving through uneven terrain blanketed with fallen leaves, creates a wonderful experience amidst nature.

After the introductory run, return to camp, freshen up, and gather around the bonfire followed by a hearty dinner. Sleep early as our longest run awaits us the following morning.

DAY 2: THE PILGRIMAGE TRAIL

15 KM | 800m Elevation

Difficulty Rating 3 (Out of 5)

The Pilgrimage Trail is a route that was used to travel on foot from Haridwar to Badrinath by devotees decades back. This is the longest run of the camp with a nice mix of trail sections with a steady climb to the top.

The day begins early morning with a run over pristine single-track sections. As we progress, the sun rises above the range and the Ganga glimmers in gold with its light. Over approximately 4 hours, we navigate a tough trail, encountering technical sections, the trail offers steep drop-offs, amplifying the sense of adventure. Midway through, we encounter steep descent with gravel and rocks as we put into practice the techniques learned on Day 1.

Post-run, return to camp for a well-deserved breakfast, relishing the beautiful views while sharing highlights from the morning run.

In the afternoon, gear up for a thrilling rafting trip with Aquaterra Adventures, renowned in the business. After the exhilarating water adventure, return to camp for recovery by the bonfire, ensuring a relaxing evening amidst the natural surroundings.

DAY 3: THE ELEPHANT TRAIL

10 KM | 700m Elevation

Difficulty Rating 3 (Out of 5)

As dawn breaks on the final day of our camp, we brace ourselves for the most demanding run of the weekend —a challenging 10km route with significant ascents and descents. The trail we take to climb to the temple top is seldom used by wild elephants and hence, nicknamed by us the "The Elephant Trail".

Each step up the steep inclines brings us closer to a charming mountain village, where our efforts are rewarded with breathtaking views. But the journey doesn't end at the peak; the descent tests our newfound downhill running skills and makes it a thrilling end to a transformative weekend.

Return to camp to celebrate the completion of all three runs, applauding fellow runners for their achievements. The rest of the day is dedicated to relaxation and unwinding. Energised participants can opt for an evening hike or join the celebratory bonfire. Exchange experiences and learnings, fostering connections with new and old friends amidst the camaraderie of shared adventures.

Nature's power is undeniable, and anyone who has embraced the outdoors understands the unpredictability it brings. Running amidst the serenity of single-track forest trails, navigating steep slopes, and exploring new paths involve inherent risks. The dynamic nature of the trail increases the likelihood of slipping or falling, emphasising the critical need for runners to remain vigilant at all times—no exceptions!

To ensure your safety and well-being, All In Running extends adventure and sports insurance coverage to all participants throughout the camp's duration. This commitment reflects our dedication to your security during every trail run. It's essential to note that standard health insurance doesn't cover adventure and outdoor activities, such as hiking or trail running. Surprisingly, even injuries during a road marathon may not be covered by your insurance provider.

During all trail runs, a designated member of our support team, will carry a basic first aid kit. Multiple team members are certified in CPR and first aid response. In the event of a serious fall or injury, cooperation from the individual is crucial. Since the trails are remote with no access to motorable vehicles, extraction may involve a mule or the assistance of another person. While it might be inconvenient or painful, this is the fastest way to reach the nearest hospital or medical facility, which is typically 2-3 hours away.

While we fervently hope for the well-being of all runners, it's imperative for participants to remain aware of on-ground response and rescue situations at all times. Your safety is our top priority, and we want you to embark on this trail running adventure with peace of mind.

In alignment with the core ethos of trail running, participants are entrusted with the responsibility of being self-sufficient during their runs. This implies that no external support, be it in terms of hydration, food, or any other provision, will be extended during the runs. Runners are required to carry all necessary supplies on their own at all times throughout the outing. Please refer to the gear requirements section for comprehensive information.

We are extremely conscious of our impact on the trail. Each runner is urged to refrain from littering the trail under any circumstances. We follow "leave no trace" principles to show our commitment to preserve the trail in its pristine and natural state. Each runner is encouraged to carry a trash bag for their own waste. At the conclusion of our trail running camp, we diligently collect all our trash and bring it back to the city.

Start your trail running journey fully prepared by tapping into our exclusive pre-camp training materials and webinars. Our seasoned coaches share valuable insights into trail running techniques, strategies, and essential tips to elevate your overall experience. Attend webinars covering topics like fitness conditioning, selecting the right trail gear, and mental preparedness. These sessions are crafted to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for a trail running adventure.
