Trail running is a celebration of freedom, allowing us to run free and savour the beauty that surrounds us. Essential to this experience is a profound awareness of our individual environmental impact and fostering a deep connection with nature. In alignment with the core ethos of trail running, participants are entrusted with the responsibility of being self-sufficient during their runs. This implies that no external support, be it in terms of hydration, food, or any other provision, will be extended during the runs. Runners are required to carry all necessary supplies on their own at all times throughout the outing.

*Refer to the gear requirements section for comprehensive information.

Being conscious of our impact on the trail is paramount. Every runner is urged to refrain from littering the trail under any circumstances. Our collective mantra is "leave no trace behind," and our commitment is to preserve the trail in its pristine and natural state. Each runner is encouraged to carry 1-2 trash bags, symbolising our gratitude to the remarkable world we inhabit. At the conclusion of our trail run, we will diligently collect any loose trash—a small yet meaningful gesture to express appreciation for the beauty that envelops us.

Due to the technical nature of the trails and the large distances that will be covered over the weekend, we recommend individuals to have certain minimum fitness requirements. In case you don’t meet some of the criteria below, please call us and we will be able to guide you better on how to prepare for the camp before your arrival.

Please feel free to get in touch to avail All In Running training services in order to prepare for the camp or to help you achieve long-term fitness levels.

Recommended fitness levels for camp participants:

Running fitness needed for mountain trails

  1. Average weekly running mileage of over 20 kms over the past 4-6 weeks
  2. Comfortable running 12-16 km distance, consecutively for 2-3 days.
  3. May have completed multi-day hiking / mountaineering expeditions
  4. May have good cardiovascular endurance that can be sustained over 4 hours
  5. Should have strong core and lower body (core and leg strength)

Trail running is a dynamic departure from the predictability of road running. Unlike the smooth surfaces of tar, concrete, or cobblestone paths, trail running immerses you in constantly varying terrains. Beyond the demands of physical fitness and mental alertness, the right gear is instrumental in elevating your running experience. To ensure optimal preparedness and to minimise risks, a comprehensive gear check will be conducted before the first trail run.

Nature's power is undeniable, and anyone who has embraced the outdoors understands the unpredictability it brings. Running amidst the serenity of single-track forest trails, navigating steep slopes, and exploring new paths involve inherent risks. The dynamic nature of the trail increases the likelihood of slipping or falling, emphasising the critical need for runners to remain vigilant at all times—no exceptions!

To ensure your safety and well-being, All In Running extends adventure and sports insurance coverage to all participants throughout the camp's duration. This commitment reflects our dedication to your security during every trail run. It's essential to note that standard health insurance doesn't cover adventure and outdoor activities, such as hiking or trail running. Surprisingly, even injuries during a road marathon may not be covered by your insurance provider.

During all trail runs, a designated member of our support team, will carry a basic first aid kit. Multiple team members are certified in CPR and first aid response. In the event of a serious fall or injury, cooperation from the individual is crucial. Since the trails are remote with no access to motorable vehicles, extraction may involve a mule or the assistance of another person. While it might be inconvenient or painful, this is the fastest way to reach the nearest hospital or medical facility, which is typically 2-3 hours away.

While we fervently hope for the well-being of all runners, it's imperative for participants to remain aware of on-ground response and rescue situations at all times. Your safety is our top priority, and we want you to embark on this trail running adventure with peace of mind.

Start your trail running journey fully prepared by tapping into our exclusive pre-camp training materials and workshops. Our seasoned coaches share valuable insights into trail running techniques, strategies, and essential tips to elevate your overall experience. Attend webinars covering topics like fitness conditioning, selecting the right trail gear, and mental preparedness.
